Energy school competition You and your students may win important prizes including a trip to Brussels, in June 2007! The top three winners of each category, a total of 12, together with their coordinating teachers, will be rewarded with a trip to Brussels to attend the “Energy is our Future” Awards ceremony. Featured project: Energy around the Baltic Sea Ulla Persson and Barbro Jonsson teach at Östra gymnasiet Umeå, in Sweden. For a couple of years their school and school partners from Denmark and Latvia worked on a project focusing on energy. Read more
The small energy driving license Erland R. Andersen and Finn Horn from Denmark designed and described several experiments which may enable young students to understand the role of various materials and phenomena in relation to energy. Read more
Climate Change Super Heroes The European Commission's Directorate-General for Environment has launched a communications programme to raise awareness about climate change and how everyone can play a part in combating it. Read more
Deskinu and Felina, the goblins to the rescue Carmen Sammut teaches in Malta. She shares a play she wrote. It focuses on waste management and it takes place in a surrealistic environment. The play is meant for youngsters and it aims to raise awareness on waste separation. Read more

Belgium: More than 30 year dedicated to ICT in classroom Michel Neroucheff has been a primary teacher in Jette, one of the 19 communes of Brussels. He has dedicated his entire professional life to ICT in education as a way to improve both teaching and learning. Read more
Italy: FOOD4U 2006 Video Festival The second European Youth Video Festival 'FOOD4U took place from 3-8 October 2006 in Italy. Some 4,000,000 secondary school students from 15 European countries had been invited to produce a video spot about the advantages of a healthy diet. Participating countries were: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxemburg, Norway, Holland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden and Hungary. Read more
myEUROPE is a European Schoolnet project. It aims to help teachers raise their pupils' awareness of what it means to be a young citizen in Europe. By involving a network of more than 6000 schools, the diversity of Europe is brought into the classroom via the Internet.
