50 years of the European Union This is a PowerPoint presentation which summarises the 50 years of unity in diversity and focuses on the milestones of the European integration, its main challenges and achievements. The presentation is published with the permission of the authors who work at the Communication Department of German Foreign Office. They provided the presentation in: English, French, German and Spanish. The following languages were made available by a group of volunteer teachers, as follows: Bulgarian (Anna Ananieva), Czech (Katerina Bavorová), Danish (Peter Rasmussen) Dutch (Marleen Spierings), Estonian (Leena Punga), Greek (Elena Vlachogianni and Linos Viglas), Hungarian (Janos Blasszauer), Italian (Fiorenza Congedo), Latvian (Inara Zlaugotne), Lithuanian, (Irma Sneideriene), Maltese (Stephanie Falzon), Portuguese (Isabel Fonseca), Romanian (Cristian Branza) and Slovak (Jozef Medvecky).

This photo-gallery features a group of pictures that were taken during a chat activity. The guests and the organisers were located in Madrid and Brussels while the participating schools chatted from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia and Turkey.
School Competition: Deadline extended to 22 April 2007 Due to the overwhelming success of the Energy is our Future school competition, a number of teachers have expressed their intention to participate with their classes during the upcoming weeks. The project team has therefore decided to extend the competition deadline from 15 March to 22 April 2007.

myEUROPE is a European Schoolnet project. It aims to help teachers raise their pupils' awareness of what it means to be a young citizen in Europe. By involving a network of more than 6000 schools, the diversity of Europe is brought into the classroom via the Internet.
