Dr Susanne Pratscher and two of her students from VBS-HAKIII Schoenborngasse, in Vienna, Austria carried out a Web project “A virtual tour through Europe”. The project was built on a particular connection Susanne had with the Spring teachers in 2003.
Caroline and Marlene had the chance to practice the foreign languages they study at school. As future business women they are well aware of the fact, that it is very important to have a rather good command of a number of languages. In general, they should be able to communicate with nearly everybody in Europe - and in the whole world - with the three languages they are already speaking: German, English and French.
But on the other hand, they also know, that you can easily win people's hearts, when you are able to communicate with them in their mother tongues at least a little bit, and when you know something about their home countries. Therefore they made up their minds to go on a second virtual journey across all the EU member states and candidate countries.
