The summer holidays are around the corner! Time to relax and play!
Take some time to visit EuropaGO (http://europa.eu.int/europago), where two games have been updated following the enlargement of the EU to include 10 new countries.
The quiz on Europe offers an additional brand-new set of questions on European history, geography and life in general.
Click on the game console or on the spaceship in the bedroom and test your knowledge of Europe, especially of the new and candidate countries!
Additionally, the "Europe in harmony" game now includes the anthems of the 10 new EU countries. Just click on the radio in the bedroom to find out how to play their national anthems!
To make your summer break even more fun-filled, EuropaGO is also releasing a new game called “A journey through Europe” this coming June, allowing you to discover the cities of Europe on board a helicopter. You, as a pilot, will be searching for clues, avoiding cruising planes, looking for petrol stations and much more in order to land in certain cities and accomplish your mission.
Keep checking EuropaGO throughout the summer – we have a lot of fun in store for you!
Win a trip to Strasbourg
All Republic of Ireland second-level schools registered for Spring Day in Europe will be eligible for a draw to take part in the Euroscola Youth Parliament.
The names of four winning schools - one from each Euro constituency - will be drawn.
From each school, a group of up to 31 pupils aged between 16 and 18 years, accompanied by three teachers, will be invited to participate in Euroscola, the Youth Parliament organised by the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
The groups will travel to Strasbourg in autumn 2005.
The draw will take place on 21 March 2005 in the European Parliament Office in Molesworth Street, Dublin.
