This is a non-verbal activity that brings together pupils' artwork from across wider Europe: member states, candidate countries and others.
Age group: All
Assisted by their teachers in the classroom, pupils are invited to paint self-portraits on a sheet of paper vertical half the size of A4. They can include personal, local and national elements, and bring them into a European context through this activity. The basic idea is that children of Europe, from north to south, from east to west are inter-connected.
Any technique and medium is welcome: oil, crayon, pastels, collage, etc.
Suggested steps for the classroom:
Draw your portrait
