The myEUROPE classes that participated in these activities learned to share and understand the European cultural diversity. The activity outcomes are published in almost all European languages.
Please note that these activities are no longer active, so that they are archived. For each activity it is provided its original description (in three languages: English, French and German) and its associated list of outcomes.
Folk Costumes
The outcomes of this activity are grouped in a gallery which proves that in some European regions the tradition of folk costumes is still alive. People continue to make costumes and wear them. In many other regions, costumes are still made but mostly for dance groups or choirs. In other areas the folk tradition has almost disappeared and the folk dress from those regions is revived through paintings, museum collections and written accounts.
This activity aimed to encourage participants to share information about their local settings to create a gallery of pretty European spots, helping travellers make up the best route across Europe.
Classes were invited to contribute with proverbs and sayings from their own languages. The activity outcomes prove that the Web may be a solution to preserve this cultural heritage.
