Viljenka Šavli teaches English at Solkan Elementary School, in Slovenia. Two of her students, Sara and Kristi, report on a school event scheduled before Christmas. It was a concert which brought together students, teachers, parents and other people from the local community to celebrate Christmas.
On 21st December our school prepared a concert dedicated to Christmas time. Parents, students, teachers, and retired teachers were our guests.
Our school hall was crowded and we all enjoyed harmonious singing of the two school choirs (younger ones aged up to 11 and older ones from 11-14), a group of dancers from grade 2, the group playing Orphic instruments and a presenter of the local character.
We all love such happenings as the atmosphere is so wonderful and the students are eager to show what they have learned.
