Inara Zlaugotne teaches at Engure Secondary School, in Latvia. She reports on an international gathering of the European Clubs, that took place in Warsaw, from 17 to 19 November 2006.
Students, teachers and co-ordinators from all over Europe ( Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Austria and Hungary) gathered in Warsaw to make a contribution for their future work in European clubs. This meeting was a great chance to meet, exchange experience and information, discuss the main activities and the possibilities to establish cooperation between clubs.
The aim of the meeting was to set up a platform that would enable European clubs (or equivalent organizations that unite students and teachers that are interested in European issues) from different European countries to join the European Network of clubs.
The meeting was opened by a panel discussion with the theme „Quo vadis European schools Clubs in Europe?” with participation of experts. The meeting was chaired by Ieva Grundsteine from Polish Robert Schuman Foundation.
