Our school is called Hindsholmskolen and it was build in 1956 but at that time it was very small so through the years it has become pretty big. Now it's about 5300 square meters. It is situated in Dalby on an island called Fyn in Denmark. Dalby is a village and it is beautiful. In the summer there are many flowers and green trees, and then it's nice to go to school.
At our school there are 232 pupils and 26 teachers. The pupils are from 6-16 years old. Our school is very free. You can wear anything you want and if there are any problems, then your teacher will take the time with you so you get to talk about the conflicts.
The school council
At our school there is a group of students from 6-9th class, who is working together across the four oldest classes, with 2 students from each class represented. Once every month, they are having a meeting where they discuss and talk about the things that happen at the school.
If there's anything, that should be different at the school, so all the students are in a better environment, the school council will try to make it better. They'll go to the headmaster and try to get the things changed. But its not always it's going to be done, but then they'll just try again, maybe they'll go to the school board and try there. The students are very keen of making the school as good as possible.
