Humanitarian High School “St. St. Kyrill and Method“
Our school was founded in 1880 in Thessaloniki. In 1920 the school (teachers and students) moved to Blagoevgrad.
The students, who are studying German as foreign Language, take part in different international Internet projects. For example this website publishes the outcomes of a project with Finland: http://ejournal.eduprojects.net/lip12
Our students introduce in German their town Blagoevgrad, the sights in Bulgaria, The Rila Monastery, their high school. The students tell about the Bulgarian national heroes, for example Vassil Levski or the Bulgarian tradition on 1 March when people exchange Martenitsas.
The students like to write stories by pictures: http://www.bild-online.dk/Geschichte1.htm and with great interest they exchange letters with students their age from all over Europe. In this way they take part in the international Bild-project:
How do the students learn German and what kind of tests do they take to test their knowledge? Everyone could see this: The students in 8th grade take a different exam at the end of the year. This exam has 3 parts: listen, reading, and language as a system.
