Our school is a primary school located on an island called Alnö. It is connected by a bridge to our nearest town called Sundsvall. The school has children from age 6 to 12 and there are 12 classes, all together 320 pupils and about 20 teachers and 15 auxiliary staff.
In our school there are also three "after-school homes" were the younger children could stay when the school have finished for the day.
The school is surrounded by a great deal of forest and we spend a lot of time outside. During the winter the children can go skiing and skating, as we have an ice rink in the schoolyard.
For the last six years we have participated in two school projects together with other European countries, almost the whole school has been involved in the projects.
We have a rather good experience of working together in school projects, the project we are about to end in June 2005 is a project we have had together with schools in Scotland, Spain, Romania and Italy.
This coming year we will take a break and only have a small cooperation with our partner-school in Catalonia, looking for new partners and preparing for our next project.
