VGAS: Knowing your contribution to climate change at the distance of a click
Did you know? Households in the EU are responsible for some 16% of the EU’s total greenhouse gas emissions, most of which comes from the production and use of energy!
Challenging issues such as greenhouse gas emissions and Climate Change may seem very remote, but there are ways that can help to better perceive our contribution to such problems.
VGAS is adopted as a learning resource by the European Commission campaign, "You Control Climate Change" launched in June 2006 by President José Manuel Barroso and Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas. VGAS© fits with overall objectives of this campaign: to challenge individuals to make small changes to their daily routine in order to achieve significant reductions of greenhouse gas emissions. VGAS© is being requested by schools, NGOS as well as governmental departments responsible for environmental awareness campaigns.
