This is a competition addressing high-school students based in France and its neighbour countries: United-Kingdom, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Spain.
Entries accepted since October 6.
60 years after the end of World War II the French Senate and the Caen Memorial have chosen to not only commemorate the event but also make a clear statement, marking their trust in the construction of peaceful and democratic Europe.
To this end they have organised a European competition open to high school students. Participants, in bi-national teams, must submit a contribution on what it means to be a citizen in Europe. Winners will be invited to the French Senate on May 21th 2005 for a day, to debate on how to build tomorrow's Europe. This competition aims at promoting the exchange of ideas and national experiences amongst young Europeans.
Calendar: December 20, 2004 :end of deliverance of the entry forms. March 20, 2005 : all entries must have been submitted Mai 21, 2005 ; Winners invited to the French Senate.
